Please ask questions

Communication is a key to success, therefore it is recommended that you ask more then less, to make informed decisions about your projects. Even if you think that the question is insignificant - ask! There should be only pleasant surprises and to avoid miscommunication and confusion drop us a line in a private form below and we will be happy to help.

How long does it take to build a deck?

As little as 2-3 days to a month. The timeline depends on the size of the project and if the project requires permits.

Timeline for city permit is about 3-4 weeks from the application date. There are 3 stages of approval- Grading, Zoning and Structural. The permits therefore changes hands and that is the reason it takes this long.

The building process depends on material availability, complexity of the project and weather.

Short answer: typical deck 12'x14' takes 2-3 weeks.

How does the process work?

When you decide to have your deck constructed:

1: Design and consultation process

2. Signing of the contract

3. Stages of building are approved by the city inspector (3 inspection in total).

    a) Stage one is the excavation

    b) Structural inspection

    c) Final inspection of the finished product

Do you build custom projects?

Yes! We also have an inventory of deck plans with standard sizes that we have on file as well.

The projects we have built range from simple stairs, to 9' high platforms. There are several options to customize the material, style, platforms, railings, planters, benches etc.

What would you recommend Composite deck or natural wood?

We recommend the composite product. There is a wide range of composite materials that bring many benefits. At the consultation stage we bring the options and let you see and feel the materials.

04

Can you build a deck so that screws on the surface are invisible?

It is part of the composite deck installation process - hidden fasteners. They secure the deck boards on the sides in the "grooves" and it is securely fastened to the joists.

What is different in our process?

All our decks come with standard features:

1. Deck design is designed using the building code

2. Technical drawings are reviewed by an engineer

3. We have developed and got approval to install deck post to cement columns by a more secured method

4. We do not attach the deck to the house (ask us why)

5. Certified Mechanical Engineer is present on the site as a supervisor

6. We glue the beams

7. Application of adhesive to wood on wood connections to prevent squeaks

8. Use of protective barrier in the beams

9. Precision - Cuts are made exact, level is exact, alignments are exact

10. All the cuts are protected by the sealer

11. Silicon is used on all composite joints

12. Clean workplace - we use minimal intrusive techniques to preserve your backyard

13. Open lines of communication and transparency
